Five-Species Blend

Each species brings something different in size, lipid profile, and nutritional content. Together they cover more of what lives in your tank:

• Nannochloropsis — small cell, high EPA content, copepod and coral staple
• Tetraselmis — larger cell, high protein and amino acid content
• Isochrysis — rich in DHA, key for invertebrate larval development
• Thalassiosira — silica-shelled diatom, excellent for filter feeders and clams
• Rhodomonas — highly palatable, preferred by many corals and invertebrates

• Soft corals, LPS, and NPS corals with active feeding response
• Clams, feather dusters, and other filter feeders
• Copepods, amphipods, and beneficial microfauna

How to Use

Shake well. Dose directly into high-flow areas or near target organisms. Start with a conservative dose and scale to your tank's response and nutrient load. Monitor nitrate and phosphate — phytoplankton is food, and overfeeding adds nutrients. Most mixed reefs do well with small, frequent doses rather than one large weekly addition.

Refrigerated & Shipped Cold

Phyto Five™ is live phytoplankton. It ships cold, Monday through Wednesday, to ensure it arrives with maximum cell viability. Refrigerate immediately upon arrival. Do not freeze. Use within the date on the bottle.
